About the Show:

126 years ago, the town of Fall River, MA, played unknowing host to one of the most infamous murders in history. The prime suspect was one Lizzie Borden. Her story has become an American legend, and now her story sings.

A rock retelling of the Lizzie Borden case, this 4-person, all-female show by Steven Cheslik-DeMeyer, Alan Stevens Hewitt, and Tim Maner has received global productions in New York, the West End, and Denmark. More rock concert than traditional musical, the show teases out the rumors surrounding the Borden case, all while delivering a score imbued with hard rock, heavy metal, and riot grrrl punk.

LIZZIE now takes the stage at Resident DTLA, a live music concert venue and staple of the DTLA Arts District. LIZZIE features direction and musical staging by Joanna Syiek (Indy Award Winner - Direction American Idiot, Broadway World Nomination - Best Direction, The Pokémusical) with musical direction by Jennifer Lin (Stage Raw Nomination - Best Music Direction Priscilla Queen of the Desert). The all-female cast features Leslie Rubino, Brooke Van Grinsven, Jenni Marie Lopez, and Samantha Labrecque, as well as an understudy cast including Kelley Dorney, Renee Cohen, Jade Taylor, and Kelsey Schulte.
